Rock Climbing at Sky Top - Rates and Policies
The rates for a day of rock climbing at Sky Top for Mohonk Mountain
House overnight guests are based on the amount of participants per guide.
For those guests signing up for a group program, the rates will not
be determined until the total number of participants are counted at
the start of the program.
To maximize the experience and instruction for Mohonk Mountain House
overnight guests, all programs will maintain a low climber to guide
ratio. The guest can choose to hire a guide privately or participate
with a group.
The per person rates include any technical equipment needed,
are as follows:

For multi-pitch rock climbing, 1:1 to 2:1
For single pitch and/or group programs, 1:1 to 4:1
Cancellation/Inclement Weather Policy:
All climbing guests must be confirmed overnight guests of Mohonk. Cancellation
of room reservations will constitute cancellation of climbing reservations.
All climbing reservations require payment in full (100% deposit). Any
cancellations made within five days of the scheduled date are non-refundable.
In the event of inclement weather on the scheduled day and Alpine Endeavors’
decision that the weather is not suitable for rock climbing, the guests
may reschedule the reservation. If rescheduling the reservation is not
possible, a refund will then be granted.
Requirements
All guests will be required to wear a helmet, complete a health history
form and assumption of risk form, which will be available for download
on the web site. For participants under the age of 18 years old, the
assumption of risk form must also be signed by the participant’s
parent or legal guardian. Rock climbing will be available to overnight
guests from age 7 and up, however all children who are under the age
of 12 must be accompanied by an adult (18 years of age or older). The
accompaning adult does not have to participate in the rock climbing.
